A Soul in the Wild: My Photography Philosophy
I do not chase faces. I chase life — wild, untamed, and unaware of my presence.
My lens seeks no human smile, only the raw breath of nature — the flutter of wings in golden light, the stillness of a predator’s gaze, the silent ballet of leaves whispering to the wind. Everything alive, everything that moves to the rhythm of the Earth, draws me in. I photograph not just to capture, but to connect.
I do not take pictures — I listen.
To the call of a bird at dawn,
To the rustle of grass under a prowling cat,
To the hush of a forest holding its secrets close.
I live for moments that cannot be staged — a kingfisher’s plunge, a deer’s startled glance, a bee caught mid-hover. These are not just images; they are fragments of truth, unposed and unplanned. In those split seconds, something eternal reveals itself — and I become its witness.
I wander with open eyes and a still heart. GendaSwami, my trusted steed, carries me to forgotten corners and hidden trails, where the world remains wild and wonderful. With my Nikon Z8 and the reach of my 180-600mm lens, I try not to intrude — only to observe, and to honour.
Through my work, I offer what the wild gives me — not spectacle, but presence. A quiet reminder that beauty doesn’t shout. It sings softly, if only we are willing to listen.
This is not a hobby. This is how I breathe…..
